a program has been designed to help central coast kids get a hot, nutritious meal while they’re out of school and unable to take advantage of the lunches offered there. the summer food service program, helps about 800 kids age 18 and younger receive 1 free meal each day during the summer. the program is funded by the u.s. department of agriculture, the california department of education, and la manzana community resources.
