4 MONTEREY COUNTY STUDENTS WON HONORS AT LAST WEEKEND’S 61ST ANNUAL CALIFORNIA STATE SCIENCE FAIR, AND 3 OF THOSE WILL MOVE ON TO COMPETE AT THE INTEL INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR LATER THIS MONTH. 9th gade carmel high schooler Ailis dooner took third place in the environmental science category; while salinas high school junior aradhana sinha took 3rd place in plant biology; and buena vista middle school student chaitra subbarao also placed 3rd in plant biology. those 3 students plan to compete may 13th in pennsylvannia. 8th grader jenn mazza from catalina school received a special award for applied mechanics and structures.
