A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbing an elderly woman tuesday afternoon outside of a salinas grocery store. David wolfe is accused of grabbing the 88-year-old victim’s purse, (which was wrapped around her arm). That caused the woman to fall and hit her head on the pavement. She suffered minor injuries and declined medical treatment when salinas police officers arrived. After fleeing in a getaway car, wolfe was spotted at a motel on the 11-hundred block of north main street. after a pursuit involving multiple officers, wolfe was taken into custody. He is facing multiple charges, including resisting arrest.
