Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 3 people following a tip from a concerned resident Thursday morning. Deputies responded to the Monterey Bay Heights neighborhood of Soquel to reports of a suspicious vehicle.. At the scene officers found 3 people sleeping in with expensive landscaping equipment. A records check found the tools to be stolen from an area resort. Ashley Heuser, Spencer Ludow, and Cole Mertes were arrested forpossession of stolen property, drug possession and outstanding warrants.
