(07:20) Watsonville – A man was arrested yesterday in Watsonville for being in possession of 30 firearms, including a high powered rifle, and several handguns. Officers served a search warrant for Stolen Firearms just before 4:30 p.m. at the residence of 41 year-old Jim Rodriguez. The search resulted in the seizure of firearms, various items of suspected stolen property including high end bicycles, electronics, clothing, over 20 pounds of Marijuana packaged for sale, and body armor. Some of the firearms recovered were identified as being stolen from Markley’s gun shop earlier this month and a local residential burglary last week. Rodriguez was arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
