A stolen car was spotted and stopped in Salinas yesterday . The blue SUV was seen on Arcadia way and a Salinas Police officer attempted to pull the vehicle over. The driver leapt from the car and ran, but the officer was able to arrest the two passengers; a 16-year-old girl and 20-year-old Albert Moreno. Moreno, a known gang member, was found to be in possession of a loaded semi-automatic handgun and arrested on numerous charges. Officers were assisted by a CHP helicopter as they set up a perimeter to find the driver, but he was not found. The teenage girl was released without charges.
