The chairman of the Coastal Commission, who left a 3-day meeting in Scotts Valley early when he got sick, has been placed on a ventilator. Chula Vista councilman Steve Padilla tested positive for Covid-19 after he left the meetings earlier this month, and he initially quarantined at home, however when the symptoms got worse he was hospitalized. The meetings in Scotts Valley began on March 11th.
