California Governor Gavin Newsom has issued a statewide order for people to stay home (unless they work in an “essential” field, or need to take care of their own essential needs, or those of someone they are caring for). That said, people can still leave their homes to take walks and exercise, as long as they don’t gather in groups, and they keep 6 feet or more away from other people.
