California’s judicial rule-makers have voted to rescind the controversial statewide court order that provided bail-relief to arrestees who were charged with misdemeanors and low-level felonies. The Zero-Dollar Emergency Bail Schedule was put in-place April 13th, to help keep lower-level offenders out of the jail system during the Covid-19 pandemic. Although the statewide order expires June 20th, individual county superior courts are welcome to institute their own local orders to preserve the policy.
