A bit of good news today for the state’s unemployment rate.
Workers in California filed about 1.51 million initial unemployment claims during the week that ended June 13th… that’s down 58-thousand from the week before.
Still, a total of 5.43 million workers filed for unemployment benefits since the lockdown began.
California has borrowed $2.37 billion from the U.S. government to cover the state’s shortfall in funds for unemployment benefits,
