A man that engaged Salinas police in a standoff on Thursday was treated for methamphetamine intoxication. Police responded to Midtown Mobile Terrace on Baldwin Street after 38 year old David Thoeni brandished a gun. Theoni eventually came out of the home, but ignored police commands and was subdued with a taser. Once the suspect is released from the hospital he will be transferred to the Monterey County Jail.
