A standoff between Monterey Police and two individuals who barricaded themselves in a residence took place on Monday afternoon.
Police received a call regarding 37-year-old Edward Bossard Jr. who was found to be in violation of a restraining order. Bossard has a long record of criminal history.
During the standoff, Bossard and a woman blocked entry to the home on West Franklin Street and attempted escaping through the back door.
Nearly five hours later, police were able to enter the home. Bossard and 18-year-old Angelina Perez were both arrested shortly thereafter.
No injuries from this incident were reported.
