OVER TWENTY SQUID BOATS ARE OUT ALL OVER THE MONTEREY BAY DAILY CATCHING AS MANY SQUID AS THEY CAN IN WHAT IS BEING CALLED A BOUNTIFUL SQUID SEASON. THE SQUID POPULATION IS HIGHLY IMPACTED BY WATER TEMPERATURE AND THE CURRENT BAY CONDITIONS MAY BE THE REASON WHY SO MANY ARE IN THE MONTEREY BAY TO SPAWN. THE SEASON RUNS YEAR-ROUND BUT IS LIMITED TO A ONE HUNDRED TWENTY THREE THOUSAND TON QUOTA.
