A Spreckels man was sentenced Tuesday to 16 months in jail. David Castro was seen on a security camera stealing antiques by hitching a trailer (in a parking lot) to his truck. Authorities located Castro in the same truck a few weeks later. He was found to be in possession of numerous victims’ mail, credit cards, identification cards and other documents. Castro pleaded no contest to grand theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
