The Santa Cruz City Council has scheduled a special meeting to consider appointments to a committee formed to consider changes to the city charter.
Among the possible changes under consideration:
- Directly Elected Mayor: Term lengths Proceed or not to proceed
- District Elections: Proceed or not to proceed
- Compensation: Size of the Council Full-time vs. part-time Proceed or not to proceed
- Ranked Choice Voting
- Council/Mayor Term Limits
The meeting will be held next Tuesday night, October 2nd, at the Council Chambers at City Hall downtown Santa Cruz.
