The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office executed severalsearch warrants on Westbranch Road in Soquel in connection with illegal cannabis production investigations. The searches found 12 firearms, 49,000 cannabis plants, 2,700 pounds of processed cannabis flower and 13 pounds of processed cannabis concentrate, along with more than 1,000 units of cannabis candies individually wrapped in child-friendly packaging. One site was issued a 5 thousand dollar administrative citation for commercial cultivation and manufacturing, the other two were iwssurd 15 thousand dollar administrative citations, for commercial cultivation, distribution and manufacturing without a license.
