A gas station convenience store was robbed early Sunday morning by a man armed with pepper spray. The suspect was wearing a motorcycle helmet when he entered the soquel drive store (near Dominican hospital) at 12:45 a.m. he demanded money (while threatening the clerk), and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Due to the helmet, witnesses were not able to provide much description to authorities. Anyone with further information about the incident is encouraged to contact the santa cruz county sheriff’s department.
