The soquel post office is expected to be moved to a new facility soon. Preparations are already under way, to move operations from the office’s current location on soquel drive, to a smaller building next door. The new building is located at 4768 soquel drive, and does not include a processing center. those operations have been merged with the capitola processing center. no employees are expected to be laid off in the move, which is expected to be made in the next month or 2. the effort to cut costs is part of a nationwide campaign by post office officials to reign in spending.
