ALTHOUGH THE VOTING PERIOD FOR THE UPCOMING NOVEMBER ELECTION BEGAN ON MONDAY, THE BALLOTS WON’T ARRIVE IN SOME SANTA CRUZ COUNTY VOTERS MAILBOXES UNTIL NEXT WEEK. THAT’S BECAUSE THE CONTRACT-COMPANY (THAT HANDLES THE PRINTING AND MAILING OF THE BALLOTS) GOT BACKLOGGED. THE VOTERS IMPACTED BY THE DELAY ARE THOSE THAT ARE PERMANENTLY SET UP TO VOTE-BY-MAIL, AND THOSE WHO LIVE IN ALL MAIL-IN BALLOT PRECINCTS. THOSE VOTERS WHO WISH TO VOTE (BEFORE THEIR BALLOTS ARRIVE IN THE MAIL) CAN DO SO BY GOING TO THE SANTA CRUZ COUNTY ELECTIONS DEPARTMENT AND ASKING FOR A BALLOT. THE ELECTIONS DEPARTMENT IS LOCATED ON THE 2nd FLOOR OF THE SANTA CRUZ COUNTY BUILDING, WHICH IS LOCATED AT 701 OCEAN STREET IN SANTA CRUZ.
