A man was arrested after an officer-involved shooting occurred in Soledad last night (wed). The incident began around 10:30 on Monterey and First Streets after an officer spotted 2 people, one of whom appeared to be carrying a shotgun. The officer attempted to stop the pair, who ran away, leaving a sawed off shot gun on the balcony of a Monterey Street apartment. 21-year old Christopher Segobia appeared from the complex, and brandished a loaded firearm at the officer. A brief foot chase ensued before the officer fired his gun striking the man. Segobia was arrested on charges including violation of probation and a gang member carrying a loaded gun.
