Firefighters were able to extinguish a structure fire in soledad on Saturday morning. Firefighters from cal-fire and other central coast fire departments responded to the blaze on front street and moranda road at 6:30 a.m. residents at the 2-story building were able to evacuate safely, and no injuries were reported. The flames were contained to 1-room. The fire was sparked by a space- heater that ignited nearby material.
