Soledad police are investigating a fatal hit and run. Authorities say that shortly after 5:30 a.m. Friday morning, 82 year old Ralph Monarres Cardenas was crossing San Vicente Road near Front Street when he was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle , described as a small older blue pick up, stopped briefly before fleeing the scene. Cardenas was transported to Natividad Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Soledad Police.
