A Santa Cruz non-profit organization is utilizing some untapped funds from a legal settlement to install solar panels on its offices. Non-profits’ Insurance Alliance of California has contracted with Santa Cruz-based Solar Technologies to install the solar panels, on the building located at 333 Front Street. The organization’s leaders hope the investment of more than 450-thousand dollars pays for itself in about 10-years. The work is scheduled to be completed sometime later this week.
