(12:40) Central Coast – The Marina Police Department reported that a Facebook post about a gun being brought to school this morning, was a hoax. The post said, “I will bring a gun to school tomorrow,” and “yes, SHS is the school I want.” School officials and parents were concerned the post was referring to Salinas High School, Soquel High School or Seaside High School. During an investigation, the threat was determined to be a hoax and that “SHS” was referring to Springfield High School in Ohio. Authorities encourage everyone to continue to report any suspicious activity or threats of violence to your local police department.
