A “long period swell”, that has brought 8-10 foot wave swells, sneaker waves, and rip currents is expected to continue through tomorrow night. The rough waves exist between Monterey and Sonoma counties. Locally, some of the beaches that can be expected to be seriously impacted are those that face northwest, such as Asilomar State Beach and Marina State Beach.
