The San Lorenzo Valley Water District announced a fee restructuring has been approved. At a Thursday night Board of Directors special meeting and public hearing, the Board voted unanimously to approve a proposed rate restructuring in order to fund replacement and upgrades for pipeline, pumps and tanks, as well as build financial reserve funds. Key elements of the approved rate restructuring plan include: Rate decrease for customers with the lowest water usage, followed by a gradual increase over the following four years. Rate increases for most customers over a five-year period. Elimination of the existing drought surcharge. A complete list can be viewed at SLVWD.COM. The new rates take effect October 1st.
