A project that’s expected to save over 1-million dollars in spending towards electrical costs over the next 25-years, is slated to begin in the San Lorenzo Valley Water District next year. 3 water treatment sites are expected to house thousands of solar panels. The panels are set to be installed at the Lyon Water Treatment Plant in Boulder Creek, the Kirby Plant in Felton and the Manana Woods Plant in Scotts Valley. The panels are expected to be operational by spring or summer of next year.
