The Salinas Police Department is searching for two women wanted for attempted kidnapping. Officials say on Saturday at about 1:30 p.m., an abduction was thwarted, when the mother of the intended 5-year-old victim arrived at Steinbeck Elementary School, to see two blond women trying to push her son into a Silver Nissan Altima. The mother yelled and the child was able to escape, the suspects sped off with the car doors still open. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Salinas Police Department.
