A 21-year-old woman who suffered critical injuries in a skydiving accident on Friday, died after being taken to a local hospital. The accident occurred in tres pinos, near Hollister, when the victim’s parachute malfunctioned (about 50-feet from the ground.) the woman free fell that distance, and was too injured to be air-lifted to a trauma center. She was pronounced dead after being taken to a nearby hospital. The cause of the malfunction is under investigation.
