A 40-year-old man suffered a serious fall at santa cruz’s skate park yesterday. The capitola man fell and hit his head, at about 3 p.m., while skateboarding at the city-owned park on san Lorenzo boulevard. The victim was air-lifted out of the county, in critical condition. Users of the skate park are supposed to wear helmets, (and other protective gear). The victim reportedly was wearing a helmet, but it fell off as he did a trick, before his fall.
