AN ALASKA AIRLINES FLIGHT FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TO SEATTLE WAS FORCED TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN SAN JOSE YESTERDAY, AFTER REPORTING A CATASTROPHIC ELECTRICAL FAILURE. NO ONE WAS HURT IN THE INCIDENT, WHICH HAD THE PLANE TOUCHING DOWN AFTER AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE SHUT DOWN AUTOMATIC CABIN PRESSURIZATION, FORCING THE CREW TO MANUALLY PRESSURIZE THE CABIN. AFTER LANDING, THE 131 PASSENGERS ON BOARD WERE RE-ACCOMMODATED TO FLIGHTS OUT OF OAKLAND AND SAN FRANCISCO.
