The limit on claims in small claims court has risen to 10-thouasand dollars. That, after Governor Brown signed into law a bill authored by State Senator Joe Simitian. The new law raises the amount from 75-hundred dollars. The increase was made after a study found that such a move would not lead to an unmanageable influx of new claims.
