Authorities today identified the 22-year-old man who was shot and killed yesterday by Watsonville police officers. The man, robin Miranda, was shot by 2-officers, a total of 2-times. Miranda had stolen a shotgun from the big-5 store on green valley road, and began firing it inside the store. 3-employees inside hid, and nobody besides Miranda was injured. Under the protocol for such a so-called “critical incident,” the incident is under investigation by the Watsonville police department, the santa cruz county district attorney, and the santa cruz county sheriff’s department.
