In Bay Area news… San Francisco police won’t be responding to neighbor disputes, homeless issues and other non-criminal calls that don’t involve a threat to public safety.
Instead… police will be replaced by unarmed trained professionals in an effort to limit confrontation between the public and the police department.
San Francisco Mayor London Breed said it’s part of police reform that will also include stronger accountability, a ban on military grade weapons and divert funding to the African American community.
