In bay area news… results from tests for the Coronavirus on the Grand Princess are expected later today.
The cruise ship remains at bay until the 45 passengers, who are showing symptoms of the virus can be tested. Test kits for the fatal virus were dropped by helicopter on the ship yesterday.
Governor Gavin Newsom is prohibiting the ship from docking at the San Francisco terminal until it’s determined how many passengers are infected and they’re placed in isolation. More than 35-hundred passengers are currently on board.
A northern California man who sailed on the same ship last month has died from the corona virus and several others from that same voyage have tested positive. The most recent U.S. death toll from the virus now stands at 12.
