An investigation has been opened by santa cruz county authorities into allegations that san Francisco giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval sexually assaulted a woman. The incident took place at aptos’ seascape resort early Friday morning. the victim reported that she was sexually assaulted; Sandoval maintains that the encounter was consensual. He was interviewed by santa cruz county sheriff’s deputies on Friday at the county government center on ocean street. Sandoval was not arrested or detained. The investigation is on-going.
