A Monterey County jury convicted a Seaside man for first degree murder on Friday. The jury found 35-year-old Eteberto Vasquez-Zapata guilty of the 2013 stabbing of Marcos Nava with a 9 inch kitchen knife. Zapata told investigators he stabbed Nava because he felt he disrespected him when the victim turned down a beer. Zapata is facing 25 years to life when he is sentenced on January 17th.
