(06:00) Monterey – Due to an increase in wind over the weekend the Soberanes Fire that is burning in the Big Sur area has grown. The U.S. Forest Service has reported that the fire is now 100,979 acres and is still 60 percent contained. An evacuation warning was issued yesterday for the Big Sur-South Coast Center and Highway 1, extending south to Dolan Canyon, and bounded to the East by North Coast Ridge Road.
