(08:00) San Jose – Police are searching for a sex offender who attempted to kidnap young girls last week in San Jose. Police officials reported that the 56- year-old, David Lee Russell, assaulted and tried to kidnap a girl near Meridian Avenue and Hamilton Avenue on August 29. The second incident occurred last Thursday near Hillsdale Avenue and Narvaez Avenue. Russell is described a white male, with gray and white hair, about 5’ 10”, and 200 pounds. Police say he might be driving a white Nissan Rogue with no license plates. Anyone with information regarding Russell’s whereabouts is asked to call the San Jose Police Department.
