(14:15) SALINAS- Salinas police are now investigating the city’s 28th homicide of the year. Shortly after 1 a.m Monday morning patrol units responded to the 100 block of East Lake Street to reports of a shooting victim. At the scene officers located a deceased 53 year old Hispanic male. At this time the motive for the shooting is unknown. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.
