(09:25) Capitola – In support of breast cancer awareness month, the Capitola Police Officers will wear pink police patches on their uniforms for the month of October.   The pink patches are intended to generate conversation with the community and to encourage public awareness about the importance of early detection and the on-going fight against the disease.  The pink patches are being sold to the public at the Capitola  Police Department for 10 dollars each.   All proceeds will be donated to a Soquel-based nonprofit, WomenCARE.  To learn more about the 2017 Pink Patch Project go to: capitolapoa.com.
