(08:20) Santa Cruz – The hearing for 17 year old Adrian Gonzalez, who was arrested in 2015 for sexually assaulting and murdering 8 year old Maddy Middleton, continues this week in a Santa Cruz County Court Room. Judge, John Salazar, will make the decision of whether to try Gonzalez as a juvenile or as an adult at the conclusion of the transfer hearing this week. If tried as an adult, Gonzalez could receive a life sentence. If Gonzalez is tried as a minor he could be released by the time he is 23 years-old.
