A recently relocated plaque honoring former Soquel Postmaster Marion Hobbs will be rededicated. . First dedicated in 1980, the plaque was removed when the fountain was torn out to make way for a parking lot. Hobbs was an active member of the community and postmaster of Soquel for 20 years.. The rededication ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. on September 24 at Santa Cruz County’s newest park, The Heart of Soquel Park, located behind the Soquel U.S. Post Office, The public is encouraged to attend.
