This morning’s events across the country honored not only the nearly-3000 people who perished on September 11th of 2001….but the hundreds of First Responders and others who have died as a result of the terrorist attacks that day. This morning’s observances also show the strength of the people living here who ran toward the Twin Towers and the Pentagon….and, of course the bravery of the passengers aboard Flight 93, who managed to fight the terrorists and bring the plane down, before it could reach its intended target…..knowing there was no way they would live through that act.
