The remains of a Seaside woman missing since 1982 have been found. Authorities say the human remains unearthed by a landscaper in Monterey last week, are Sandra McGee of Seaside. McGee was last seen on North Fremont Street with a hitchhiker in December of 1982. The case is now being investigated as a homicide; the hitchhiker, Alfred Powell has been identified as a person of interest. Powell is currently serving a life prison sentence for the murder of a woman in 1983.
