a sentencing hearing for a 19 year old watsonville man accused of attacking his ex girlfriend and stabbing a man in the face has been delayed. jesus oscar almeida was arrested in july after he attacked his ex girlfriend at her apartment. while handcuffed at the watsonville police station, almeida escaped and returned to the apartment, where he encountered another man and stabbed him in the face. he is facing 5 years in state prison for his crimes. almeida is due in court for sentencing on february 28th.
