The Seaside City Council got an earful from renters last night as they heard about soaring rent and worsening conditions with little protection.
In an effort to quell concerns, the council is considering a proposal that would require mandatory mediaton for rental disputes, establish a rental registry database and create a rental review board.
On average rent for a one bedroom apartment in seaside is approximately 18-hundred a month… while a two bedroom apartment normally rents for about 22-hundred a month.
