City officials in Seaside are working to open a 2nd Covid-19 testing site. That’s because although they have a high rate of infection there, they only have 1 test site. The money to create and staff the new site (for the next 3 months) is from the CARES Act. Some other CARES Act money the city received will be used for food distribution. Later CARES Act funds are expected to be used for rental assistance.
