A Seaside man convicted of sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl was sentenced to six years in state prison on Wednesday. 41-year-old David Cabrera-Vasquez abused the girl over a six-month period. The Monterey County District Attorney’s office said the victim’s mom first thought there was a misunderstanding but, that a few weeks later, the girl handed her mom a note saying she was still being abused.
