In the wake of at least one deadly dog on dog attack the City of Seaside is considering an amendment to existing city law. The city is hoping to gain more control over the situation by deeming some dogs or breeds dangerous. The cityplans to change a section of city law. The ordinance, titled, ‘Potentially Dangerous or Vicious Dogs,’ would make it illegal to possess a dog that has a “vicious” history. Breeds which may be deemed “potentially dangerous” would be subject to increased licensing fees and restrictions.
